Whether you want a casual beachside burger or the best oysters in town, here are the spots we go back to year after year:

Bahama Bob’s Beach Side Cafe: The ultimate "hidden gem." It’s a literal shack right on the sand in West Beach, offering the best fried pecans and coconut shrimp in town. You can't beat the view!

LuLu’s Gulf Shores: Owned by Jimmy Buffett’s sister, this is the ultimate family dining experience. It sits right on the Intracoastal Waterway and has an outdoor ropes course and arcade for the kids.

The Original Oyster House: A true Gulf Shores staple on the boardwalk. You have to try the baked oysters and the peanut butter pie. [Their delicious crab legs pictured left]

The Hangout: World-famous for a reason! It’s loud, incredibly fun, and the perfect spot to grab a burger and watch the kids play in the courtyard foam parties.

Sea-N-Suds: Looking for a classic gumbo and a cold drink with a view? This iconic spot sits right on a pier extending out over the Gulf of Mexico.

🍦 The Best Sweet Treats in Town

There is no such thing as a beach vacation without a daily ice cream run!

Island Ice Cream & Treats: Located right on West Beach near our condo, they serve massive scoops of premium Blue Bell ice cream. Try a Specialty Sundae in a souvenir Mason jar!

Matt's Homemade Ice Cream: Alabama’s only homemade craft ice cream shop. There is almost always a line in the summer, but it is 100% worth the wait.

The Yard Milkshake Bar: If you want an Instagram-worthy dessert, this is it. They serve massive, over-the-top milkshakes topped with whole slices of cheesecake, cupcakes, and brownies!

🌧️ Top Rainy-Day Adventures

Don't let a stray afternoon thunderstorm ruin your vacation! There is plenty to do off the sand.

The National Naval Aviation Museum (Pensacola): Just a short drive away, this massive indoor museum is absolutely incredible (and free!). You can see legendary aircraft and even sit in the cockpits.

Tropic Falls Indoor Waterpark at OWA (Foley): This is the largest indoor waterpark in the region, featuring massive glass walls and thrilling tube slides.

Tanger Outlets & Indoor Arcades: Head up to Foley for some incredible boutique shopping, or hit the massive indoor arcade at Fat Daddy's right in the heart of Gulf Shores.
